It is only three weeks until we leave for a new experience on the other side of the world. We are getting more organised now-I'm planning my packing and we are preparing to meet Federica, the owner of the apartment we will stay in in Camogli and pay her the rest of our accommodation money. This morning we talked about ordering Euros from the bank (as they usually have to order a larger amount in). Yesterday I got some lovely large reference books out of the library about Italy. This morning I found an interesting snippet on Michelangelo's David.....embarrassing, but I didn't realise that he is THE David from 'David & Goliath'!! ...and that this sculpture of him in the moments just before his fight the book says he is the ultimate symbol of bravery and power.

Michelangelo's David- Accademia Gallery
In 1873 Michelangelo's David was removed from the piazza and placed in the Accademia Gallery for protection; a replica was placed in the Piazza della Signoria in 1910.
Where is Camogli, Italy?
I have been making a few bits and pieces to leave behind for Father and Liz-so they know where we are without having to use google....hopefully this helps.
